Breastfeeding is not always easy and many mothers find it extremely overwhelming and challenging. It can take a while before you feel confident and receiving support in the intial weeks of breastfeeding can be crucial to sustained feeding.
I know the sooner you can get help and support, the greater success mothers have with breastfeeding.
I am passionate about providing one-to-one support, in the comfort of your own home, for mothers that need some reasurance and guidance. I am always calm and empathetic, and understand not only the physical functions of breastfeeding, but also the emotional journey it can be!
Often, thtough some minor changes in positioning and attachment, problems can be resolved and responsive breastfeeding can successfully continue.
I am a trained breastfeeding peer supporter and regulalry volunteer at the Birthing Centre at Edgware Hospital and Winsfield Childrens Centre.
My one-to-one home visits are flexible to fit around mum and baby's needs. During this session I will gently observe your baby feeding and ask a number of questions to understand what, if any, issues there are with feeding. I will then provide some guidance as required and provide ongoing support via the telephone, email, Skype or in person.
This support package is designed to make you feel better informed and to have some one to turn to that you can trust and understands yours and your baby's needs.
